The National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad has invited applications for an entrance test to be held in January for admission to its Designing Programmes for 2023 -24. NID is an ‘Institute of National Importance as per the NID Act 2014, as well as an autonomous institute under the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. As per the NID Act (18 of 2014), the institute is a statutory authority empowered to award its own degrees—a Master of Design (M.Des.) of two-and-a-half years’ duration and a Bachelor of Design (B.Des.) of a four-year course. The Institute is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
