Lay witness An ode to a city

  Cities are abuzz with excitement of every sort and vivacity, the teeming life that is happening with streets filled with people out and about. In cities there is easiness of public transport, preponderance of culture and diverse population.

  And city-dwellers love the razzmatazz of city life, though loud and raucous with honking cabs,cars and rickshaws. In it they find a tapestry of bright lights, hustle and bustle and brimming energy. One such citybred sculptor of Ahmedabad where he grew up and has worked, has captured the contours of Ahmedabad, the city in its various colours and modes.

  Incidentally, Ahmedabad was inscribed as the first Indian city in the world heritage city list of United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) in 2017 for its rich and historic monuments in the urban fabric in the walled city.
