     The Civil Services Examination (CSE) is a nationwide competitive examination in India conducted by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment to various Civil Services of the Government of India, including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and Indian Revenue Service (IRS). This Examination has three successive stages: (I) Preliminary Examination (multiple choice); (II) Main Examination (Written test) (III) Interview or Personality test.

Eligibility: Candidates with any Bachelor’s degree, viz., BA, B.Sc., and B.Com., from any of the Universities or any professional and technical bachelor’s degrees, viz., BE, MBBS, etc., are all eligible. Candidates who have appeared or intend to appear for the final degree examination and are awaiting the results are also eligible to apply for the Preliminary Examination.
