It is not statistics, it’s the statistician

   In pure terms statistics conveys ‘collection, organization, analysis, interpretation and presentation of data’. The core concepts of statistics when implemented in the world devoid of malice and deceit, provides truthful reports of mass data of social and economic trends, business conditions, opinion polls and census in manageable, aesthetic and simple to understand tables, graphs and charts.

  Charles Dickens quote “It is a pleasant world we live in, sir, a very pleasant world. There are bad people in it, Mr. Richard, but if there were no bad people there would be no good lawyers”, from melodrama, The Old Curiosity Shop, best describes the present times. Humour apart, the stack truth is that digital age, with its benefits of large amount of widely available information, provides deceiver opportunities by passing on misleading information whereby innocent people are lead to making wrong conclusions.
