The prestigious Science Communication Award (2013) of the Indian Nuclear Society, a professional body with over 5000 members, mostly scientists and engineers, has been given to the well-known writer, Prof. Mohan Sundara Rajan, one of our contributors and distinguished authors.

   The award recognizes his outstanding contributions to popularisation of science and technology, including nuclear programs in the print and electronic media as well as lectures and books since the 1970s. Professor P. Rama Rao, Chairman, Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences presented the award at the 25th annual conference of the Indian Nuclear Society in Hyderabad on December 15, 2014. The award consists of Rs. One Lakh and a citation. The Award, which is only one in its category, is given on an all-India basis.
