A dialogue with an inspiring Aquaponics entrepreneur in Thiruvananthapuram

?  Can you please tell us about yourself?

= My name is Christle Bai Gomez and I am currently an Aquaponics entrepreneur in Thiruvananthapuram. I am past my retirement age and my inspiration to continue to work and make a contribution to the society I live in can be traced back to my childhood. I was born in Puthenthope, a village in the capital city of Thiruvananthapuram, in 1954. I was born into poverty and as the second son out of six children (four boys and two girls), assuming responsibility and caring for others came naturally to me. The three wars that India fought during my early childhood - the Sino-Indian War in 1962 and the Indo-Pakistani Wars of 1965 and 1971 - also left their impact on me and my work eth - ics. I believe these wars put too much strain on a new democracy like ours and left people all over India strug - gling for their survival. This, coupled with my family background, instilled a deep desire in me, to find a good job and lead a decent....
