The CEO of Hyderabad-based Bollant Industries, Mr. Srikanth Bolla, is an immense source of inspiration for the present-day youth. He is a living legend who transcended all the roadblocks in his life to become a young entrepreneur and provided a source of livelihood to many differently-abled and uneducated people. Since his birth on 7 July 1992, his life was full of challenges. He was born blind to a family of agriculturists in Seetharamapuram in Machilipatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The parents of Srikanth were advised by the superstitious neighbours to do away with the “useless baby” as he would prove to be a burden to the parents. Fortunately, Srikanth’s parents did not pay heed to these words and accepted the challenge by bringing up their son with love and affection. Perhaps this challenging attitude was deep seated in Srikanth’s family which later reflected in Srikanth’s life.
