Illusions and Reality “Nothing is more sad than the death of an illusion”.

     We live in a world of delusions. Life is a gamble and we are all players. We hope to win after every loss and to retrieve the lost money in the next game. Every mother expects her children to succeed in life and become rich and famous, inspite of the knowledge that they lack, the appetite to succeed.Every politician wants to become a CM or PM, without the inherent abilities.

   Every student wants to score centums in all subjects. He believes in luck. Every petty official wants to become the CEO. But these desires are not backed by hard work. They remain as dreams and false hopes and most of them are never realised. The wisdom dawns very late; the disillusionment happens much to our chagrin and disappointment.

   Illusion is Maya. A thing which we assume for our convenience or out of ignorance. The most famous example is the rope and the snake: In our ignorance we mistake a rope for a snake. We see what we want to see and....
