Q: Humans have wants. Satisfying one’s wants is at the very core of one’s existence. And this is not favourable to saving. What do you have to say about this?

   By nature, human beings have unlimited wants. From one’s birth till death, one has unlimited needs and wants, which one must satisfy with his limited income. One’s wants can be divided into necessities, comforts and luxuries. They vary in intensity and can be classified into different categories. Satisfaction of necessities is a must for existence; satisfaction of comfort increases efficiency; while luxury refers to superfluous types of wants.

   Satisfaction of all these wants is impossible, as income, as compared to a man’s wants is limited or scarce. This leaves us with an option - to select only the most urgent or important wants and satisfy them, and save a portion of the income for the future. Saving is very important in this....
