Competition has become part of our life. As human beings we are here in this earth because of our ability to compete with other forms of life and win to survive as a species, the fittest to survive.

  Competition starts even at the stage of preschool and continues throughout out one’s life. Children compete for admission to good schools, colleges, coveted groups of studies and to enter professional colleges such as Medical, IITs, IIMs etc. The Civil Services examinations require intense study of one year and more. For a few hundred vacancies, lakhs appear for examination. Only the toppers get the best services, like foreign service or administrative service. Many who get other services again appear for the examination.

  Joining an organization or a Company is not the end of the competition. There may be no qualifying or competitive examinations during one’s career, but as one grows in the organization, the number of posts decreases....
