Growing money on platters

    It is, what may be called, a form of new urbanism centering around community building. The Ahmedabad Kerala Samajam (AKS) founded two years earlier than India’s independence in 1947, has always remained in the forefront in triggering ingenious ways of cementing the bonds of togetherness amongst Malayalees in Ahmedabad and also with the local population.

   On the auspicious occasion of Onam and the platinum jubilee celebrations of the Ahmedabad Kerala Samajam, the Stree Shakti wing of the Samajam launched the mobile application called ‘SS Adukkala’ to further facilitate the catering of traditional Malayalee food and also empower the Keralite women who are strapped for cash; helping those women who have a passion for cooking to make an extra buck.

    The novel initiative of the AKS Stree Shakti (AKSSS) though Growing money on platters is now a year old. And the launching of mobile application would further....
