A recent weekend outing with fellow colleagues and their young lads, left me disgruntled and heart broken, in more ways than one. The talk was about Independence Day, and all that the young brigade could pull off was a discussion around how and where they should be spending the holiday! There was not an iota of pride, patriotism and love for this country. I felt aghast and wondered, in a few years these are the boys and girls who will be at the helm of everything and then where does this country go from here? What is wrong, what is amiss, where is that sense of pride and most importantly why there is a sense of alienation among the youth. I believe it is lack of sense of responsibility.... !

   This year India is celebrating its 70th Independence Day and what can be a better occasion to ponder on the plight of our nation and its citizens. It is a fact that the majority of Indian population is below 35 years of age and the youth of the remarkable....
