On being ‘great’ parents

   Moms mothering a child with special needs shouldn’t take their role seriously and get caught up in the labyrinth of familial and societal pressures, sea of information and emotional combat. Most parents play their part and can be said to be good parents.

   However, if you have a son or daughter with any of the neuro developmental disorders, ‘good’ won’t suffice. With some preparedness and medical intervention, you can go from being a ‘good’ parent to a ‘great’ parent’. And ensure a tranquil environment at home as also growth of your child.

   The number of children showing signs of developmental disorders such as cerebral palsy, neuromotor disorder, autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, (ADHD), intellectual insufficiency and learning disability is rising all over the world.
