Freedom from Fear Gandhiji’s concept of Social Justice

    World Day of Social Justice is observed by the United Nations on the 20th of February every year, promoting the efforts in tackling the issues of unemployment, poverty, education and justice. The day dedicates itself to the removal of the barriers that people face due to gender inequality, age, race, religion, ethnicity, cultural background or disability.

   It also focuses on bringing communities together by implementing the objectives of social justice, harmony, breaking social barriers and solidarity among countries across the world which hence aids in constituting the fundamentals of social justice. As we entered into the seventh decade of our independence, it is not the loss of the courage and idealism alone that is disturbing.

     The loss could have been made up to a great extend by the dynamism of the society, particularly the youth. What happened to our youth? This is a question uppermost in everyone’s mind.....
