What is the book about?

   Shashi Tharoor; politician, former under-secretary-general of the United Nations and a prize winning author, in his book ‘The elephant, the tiger and the cell phone’ talks about India of the first decade of the twenty first century, which is confident and is marching towards a bright future. This book is a collection of 69 opinioned essays which have been published in Indian press, and one chapter on an A to Z on India.

Parts of the book

   Tharoor divided the book into six sections: the transformation of India, Ideas of Indianness, India at work and at play, Indians who helped make my India, Experience of India and the A to Z of being Indian.
