Media study in the Indian education system

   With the constant advancement in technology, the media is taking various formats rapidly. However, the basic mediums are television, print, the internet and radio. Animation and graphic, though was just a part of TV and cinema, have now become a vital form of expression among the millennial.

   There is no doubt that the media and entertainment industry is growing leaps and bounds in India. This growth has created a need for the involvement of skilled workers to control operations and regulate the media and audience.

   Unfortunately, in India, except for a few institutions, the media education has only been in theory. Very little or no exposure on the field training has highly impacted the quality of graduates the film and journalism schools generate year after year. The ability to process simple data, being street smart and being ‘present’ at the moment are some of the skills that one will gain through experiences....
