EQ is as important as IQ

   On the occasion of World Mental Health Day on October 10, 2018, I would like to draw the attention of the readers towards the importance of mental health and emotional well-being. I have recently published a self-improvement book on emotional intelligence titled ‘The Mind Game’ and would like to share some excerpts from this book on how to develop emotional intelligence.

Controlling our emotions efficiently

   Human feelings fluctuate between two extremes. The extreme state of negative emotion is rage and the extreme state of positive emotion is euphoria. A logical and moderate approach is always the best. This does not mean that we restrict ourselves from jumping in joy or falling in love. The most important thing to remember is that we must keep a check on our negative emotions and handle them with extra care.
