The month of August is one that generally sets the tone for the festive season in India; one that lasts through September and October. This entire period is witness to a barrage of new launches, as carmakers vie to grab a large chunk of festive season sales. Here are the cars that were headed to our showrooms this August.

Tata Zest

This is Tata’s comeback car. The first of a new-generation of Tata models, the Zest compact sedan is the company’s attempt to win back a share of the segment it kick started with the Indigo CS. The Zest is structured from ground up and boasts new, feature-laden interiors. It is powered by the carmaker’s new 1.2-litre Revotron turbo-petrol engine and a 1.3-litre Quadrajet diesel unit.
