   More and more Indians are migrating towards higher studies outside the country. Over 37,500 Indian students joined UK universities in 2019, registering a 93% jump in the number of study visas granted by Britain.

   The number of Indian students receiving a study visa in 2019 was 37,540, while in 2018, it was 19,479. Indians also received 57,199 Tier 2 skilled work visas in 2019, registering a 3% increase from 2018. This represents the largest number of visas issued to Indian students over the last eight years. Indians are currently the fastest- growing nationality for student visas.

    After India, the U.S. (9,240) received the second highest number of Tier 2 work visas.
