The other side of COVID-19

     December 2019 was a month of celebration all across the globe except for a few people of the Hunan ‘live’ market located in the city of Wuhan in Hubei province, China. These few people were suffering from flu-like symptoms of a disease which transformed the whole world in the months that followed. The symptom was found to be caused by a new strain of virus from a family of virus called coronaviridae and was later identified as a new virus called SARS-Cov-2 which started a chain of infections all across the globe. This outbreak was soon classified as a pandemic by the World Health Organisation (WHO) on March 11, 2020. This pandemic sent whole nations across the world reeling and receding into lockdown. As of now, it has infected 1,395,136 individuals and claimed 81,580 lives globally.
