They are hell-bent to gut it out with grit, whatever repels and disparages them. Until they have one of their own version. They are a group of women pro cyclists zeroing in on their strength and endurance for long distance cycling and thereby fighting against the good old sexism in the popular Tour de France (TDF), the French professional cycling race that stretches to at least 23 days passing through France and neighbouring European countries.
The Tour de France is an entrenched male bastion without the presence of women in the race. So, in order to assert themselves, a group of about 15 women go biking along the long 3484 kilometres route but only ahead of men’s race. They join the event organised every year since 2014. This year also they left for an arduous ride in August.
