The quiet, architectural splendour that an illustrious American architect Louis Kahn (1901-1974) gifted to the city of Ahmedabad way back in 1961 could well awe you in silence. And it is difficult to miss if you happen to pass by it. Those iconic works are to be found in the sprawling buildings of the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad which have stood like sentinel over the prestigious seat of learning.

   As a little ageing set in, the Board authorities thought it wise to restore and upgrade the buildings in 2016. The tallest among them is the Vikram Sarabhai Library (VSL), the backbone of the management institute that remains the crowning glory of all IIMs in India.
