August 2017 saw a message going viral on LinkedIn. It was by Indira Nooyi, who we considered as one of the world’s most powerful women amongst 100 others by Forbes.
Her advice was to the future leaders on how to sharpen the leadership skills, so that you definitely grow ahead in your career. Shall we take a look at her tips here?
1) Be sure to have a vision in life
Nooyi claims that it was her initiative known as “Performance with Purpose” that gave her company a vision to scale the heights. A leader should be able to motivate his or her people via their vision.
2) Always plan for long term
Next tip to the young leaders is the need to plan ahead so that it can be beneficial for the company and individuals over a long term. Strategies should be such that it balances the level and duration of returns.
