Tamil and Malayalam cinema have portrayed a lot of cultural, societal and geographical crossovers for a really long time. This has given rise to a lot of popular cultures from time to time in both the southern states.
Also, these crossovers have led to an equal exchange of on-screen love, sarcasm and hatred about the other. Now, the crossovers are inevitable as geographically, both states share a long border.
