For over six decades, generations of people have thought of and worked with their life and soul towards making conversational interface possible. At first they started out basics like generating conversations with computers that followed pre-defined scripts. With time and the emergence of the idea of Artificial Intelligence (AI), ambitious researchers found themselves mixing conversational interface with AI. This led to the concept of conversational AI. Conversational AI was first attempted in the late 1980s and though it was at the time quite unheard of, there were a fearless few who went ahead and worked relentlessly. The thought was to create a computer that could use AI to be smart enough to engage in conversation with humans like a human with feelings, thoughts and emotions, not a robot.
