Piers Morgan’s trolls and the quirky retaliations from Indians are trending to be the hot topics for entertainment these days. But if we try to peek into the determination and get a reality check about the Olympic dreams of Indian sportsmen, we might end up doing much better than Morgan himself. We definitely need a retrospective analysis. But getting a true analysis needs much more than cynic criticism and some realistic benchmarks.

   Repeatedly comparing Indian performance with China, merely because we are almost same in numbers, is not only juvenile, it also shows a closed mindset. Are we ever going to hear a Chinese rant about not earning a medal for Kabaddi in Asian Games where India dominates in Men and Women, both categories? Probably not. If there’s anything we need to learn from our neighbours, it is this, never compare apple to oranges.
