As unusual as it might sound, but how many of us really top our own priority list? I am sure most of you reading this might think how selfish it is to be on the top of one’s own list of priorities. Part of this thinking I believe comes from our values, which honours people who keep themselves in the background for the welfare of others. Now, honestly I am all for being selfless and do appreciate the virtues of altruism. But at the same time, I do understand that you cannot help others unless you help yourself first.
Why should you give foremost importance to yourself?
Well the answer is quite simple. Once you give importance to yourself, you tend to be better aware about things and values which you actually appreciate.
