India successfully test-fired its nuclear capable and indigenously developed Prithvi-II missile from Odisha, as part of user training trial. Prithvi-II missile is a proven system and a surface-to-surface missile capable of striking targets with high degree of precision. The user training launch has validated all operational and technical parameters. The missile having a strike range of 350 km was testfired from a mobile launcher from the launch complex-3 of Integrated Test Range (ITR), Chandipur.
The World Health Organization (WHO) is working with partners and experts around the world on changing the name of the monkeypox virus, its clades and the disease it causes, to tackle the stigma and racism associated with it, news agency IANS reported. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the Director General of the UN health agency, said Tuesday that the WHO will make announcements about the new names as soon as possible.
