It was during one of my conversations with my friends in America that I got to know that Nevada will be one of the first states in USA to permit autonomous passenger vehicles and the only one to license autonomous trucks for commercial purposes from July 2016. Coinciding with this development, was another announcement at Autonomous Ship Technology Symposium in Amsterdam on July 2016 by Rolls Royce, claiming unmanned cargo vessels would be economical to operate and would have more cargo space.
