The Institute for Plasma Research (IPR) is a premier scientific institute under the Department of Atomic Energy, Govt. of India and provides Junior Research Fellowship for highly motivated students to pursue doctoral research in the broad areas of experimental and theoretical plasma physics.
Research Areas:
The Institute offers research and development activities in the areas of Basic Plasma Physics, Magnetic Confinement fusion and Industrial applications of plasmas.
Provisions:
The Fellows will receive a stipend of Rs.16000/- per month and will be increased to Rs.18000/- per month after two years subject to satisfactory academic review. The fellowship also includes a book grant of Rs.10000/- per year; free accommodation and medical facility at a nominal charge. Students may also be supported partially for attending conferences abroad during their Ph.D., tenure.
