Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the National Career Counselling Portal on July 20, 2015 at the 46th session of Indian Labour Conference, with the view of modernising all government-run employment exchanges.
Gone are the days of old employment exchanges as the Union government is out with its new website which will help you find a job that suits your profile. The facility focuses on creating a direct market place for employers and job seekers. Here are some key points about the portal:
1. These exchanges will be called National Career Counselling Centres, set up under the National Career Service (NCS) project. The web portal will be a one-stop platform for both job seekers and employers, where registration can be done online.
