Jamia Millia Islamia university is ready to introduce new diploma courses in Solar Energy and Refrigeration and Air Conditioning for the upcoming session.
Introducing new courses will help in generating job opportunities for the youth. These two courses will have 50 seats each and will be offered under the Scheme of Community Colleges.
Jamia spokesperson Mukesh Ranjan said, “The UGC has approved the university’s proposals and sanctioned Rs.90 Lakh for the Bachelor Vocational in Solar Energy and Rs.61.56 Lakh for Diploma in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning for a period of two years.”
The funds provided will be used to set up workshops, classrooms, constructing labs and buying of teaching material, technical equipment, machinery, etc., he said.
