Women empowerment is a topic that we often talk about, especially in India. Several government policies are being formed and implemented in our country to empower women. But it is not the statistics that can show us the real picture, alone. The very fact that we still need to talk about it, and it is still considered one of the most common topics of the debate, says that the real picture of women’s empowerment isn’t all that colourful here, yet.
Even though the status of women power is usually measured by statistics, in reality, it cannot be generalised by a country, a race, or by a creed, since there are innumerable stories of abuse, and domination, even in the most elite and advanced layers of society. On the other hand, we need not be surprised to see a woman happy and confident, in places, where no government policies on women empowerment have been ever heard of.
