The journey of freedom movement for India was a long struggle in which many patriots sacrificed their lives and made India an independent country in 1947. August 15, was, and still is, a unforgettable day for all Indians, and is a knick-knack of the patriotism and struggle of our freedom fighters.

  For all the freedom fighters the end was common but the approach to the fight was diverse according to their principles. One such illustration in the history of our national movement is Sir Chettur Sankaran Nair (11 July 1857 – 24 April 1934). He was born in the same year when the country sparked the very first war against the British regime for independence.

  Chettur Sir Sankaran Nair was a celebrated lawyer and author who served as President of the Indian National Congress in 1897 at the meeting held at Amravati. He is best known for being the only Keralite to serve as the president of the National Congress. He is among the few early Indians....
