Black holes are some of the most fascinating and mysterious regions of space time found in outer space. They are in fact regions in space where matter has collapsed in on itself; resulting in intense density and incredibly powerful gravitational attraction that not even light can escape from its grasp. The three characteristic properties of a black hole are its mass, its spin, and its electric charge.
Albert Einstein first predicted the existence of black holes in 1916 with his general theory of relativity. The first black hole was discovered in 1971. Our universe is home to so many black holes that it is absolutely impossible to count them.
Different types of black holes
Basically, there are three types of black holes: Stellar-mass black holes, Supermassive black holes and Intermediate black holes.
