SBT sets up asset tracking centre
State Bank of Travancore (SBT) has set up a full-fledged asset tracking centre here. Managing Director Jeevandas Narayan inaugurated the centre recently. SBT has developed a system to monitor accounts to improve quality of assets on one side and to help customers remit amounts within the stipulated time on the other.

This is a centralised system from where borrowers who don’t have a clear repayment history will be contacted through telephone, a spokesman said. This system was introduced in SBT in May 2011 in a small way. It has now been expanded to cover all types of borrowers under all segments throughout the country. Borrowers will now be able to avoid accumulation of default since the bank will promptly remind them the date of repayment.
