Three movies released in the United States (and UK) in the last three years, approach, of course, from very different perspectives and the genre, the subject of black slavery in the U.S. Does the fact that America is ruled by a black President have anything to do with this? Now consider this.

    In the United States today a young black in any American city has to approach life differently from his white compatriot. If he is stopped by a policeman his response should be very cautiously distinct from that of a white man.

   This holds true across all socio-economic categories: the black man irrespective of his education, professional success or social status is adjudged according to the colour of his skin.
