More than a medico, he is a “Good Samaritan” with a bleeding heart. And unlike most docs, he doesn’t wear his degree on his sleeves nor wears a haughty look. It is his smile that stands him out as he knows well that you are not fully dressed without a smile. And more so as his patients are all children and teenagers.

  Practising as a consultant paediatrician in Ahmedabad for the past 25 years, Dr. Anil Khatri is more into philanthropy than practice as a physician. Early on since his undergraduate years, he decided to do all he could for society after his studies. That trigger was the sight of parents’ mad rush for blood for their Thalassemia major children who need periodic blood transfusion.
