We travelled 34 KM from Kuala Lumpur to Putrajaya, a planned city and the Federal Administrative Centre of the Malaysian Capital.

Putrajaya

  Due to congestion and inadequate buildings in Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya was formulated by the then PM, Mahathir Mohamad and the Government shifted in 1999.

  We visited the highly secured Perdana Putra, the PM’s Office where the office of one of the organizers, A memorable tour of Kuala Lumpur TRAVEL Ventriloquist Shanthakumar (Continued from GV May-June 2021 edition) S.I.T.F. Department was functioning.

  The Putra Square is divided into 11 segments with 11-pointed stars and flags representing the 11 states of Malaysia. It is utilized during festivals like Independence Day.

   The Putra Mosque was erected with rose-tainted granite in 1999. It features a prayer hall for 15,000 worshippers, courtyard and class rooms.
