The General Elections 2014 saw an additional volume of over 25000 tons of paper generated during March and April this year. The bulk of this volume was consumed by paper categories like Cream wove and Coated papers. The industry also saw some increased consumption in Newsprints and Copier papers. The above categories of paper were used mainly for printing manifesto, pamphlets, posters, hand bills and ballot papers.
