An underwater vehicle ‘matysa’
A team of 20 students of Indian Institute (IIT) of Bombay in Metallurgical Engineering and Material Sciences department has invented an underwater vehicle, named ‘matsya’, which literally means fish. This autonomous underwater vehicle is designed and developed to localize itself in an underwater environment and perform real life navy based tasks. Matsya can receive feedback from visual, inertial, acoustic and pressure sensors. This prototype has seamlessly integrated multiple systems including mechanical, electronics and software in matsya.
