The National Council for Educational Research and Training has announced the National Talent Search Examination for 2012. The students who qualify in the examination, which was launched in 1963 to identify talented students and nurture their talent, will be eligible for scholarships. A total of 1000 scholarships are offered based on the examination. The amount of scholarship will be Rs 500/- per month as per NTS rules.
Selection
There will be a two stage selection process for award of scholarship. The selection for the stage 1 will be done by states and union territories through a written examination Students, who qualify Stage-I, will be eligible to appear for Stage-II examination that will be conducted by the NCERT.
