An Indian Transmission Utility (CTU) and a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Power, Power Grid is engaged in power transmission business with the mandate for planning, co-ordination, supervision and control over complete inter-State transmission system and operation of National & Regional Power Grids. The company operates around 82,354 circuit kms of transmission lines along with 135 Substations and wheels about 51% of total power generated in the country through its transmission network.
