   Last week I met my friend who had just returned after the funeral of his father who was 97. He was telling about his father, a retired IT Officer who was fighting a case against the Department for the last 15/20 years.

    He lost the cases at two stages and he has filed an appeal. It was a relentless fight. He took the losses in his stride, though with a pinch of salt. His determination further strengthened with every loss.

   We face several challenges in our life; there are ups and downs, obstacles, hurdles big and small. We fail; we are disappointed; there is treachery and conspiracy; friends and relatives desert us when we need their support most.
