My article is motivated by a shocking photography of a female employee working on her laptop while sitting pillion on a two-wheeler.
It reminded me of my initial days as a working woman and the fear of being unavailable for job-oriented chore. I would often revisit the stories of my elders who pursued the conventional ‘9-5 jobs’.
To me, their lives were hard, but many of them were successful in compartmentalising their personal and professional lives. Clearly, the present work culture across corporate India demands a relook.
