Durga Puja in Kolkata has been included by UNESCO in its representative list of ‘Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity’. It is now among the 14 Indian elements on the ICH list. UNESCO tweeted, “Durga puja is now inscribed on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Fourteen ICH elements from India have been inscribed on this list by the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage.”
In a historic feat, NASA’s Parker Solar Probe has successfully entered the corona of the Sun. The American Aeronautics and Space Administration agency, informed on 14 December that the spacecraft had done what was once thought impossible, by entering the atmosphere of the sun. According to the agency, the NASA spacecraft successfully entered the corona of the Sun on 28 April, an extreme environment that is roughly two million degrees Fahrenheit.
