Manufacturing was thought of as the ‘old economy,’ but with the beginning of the Industrial Internet of Things; IIOT, changed this aged ideology. As with binary bits and physical atoms merging to alter the manufacturing landscape, leads the way for ‘maker movement,’ with 3D printing sitting at the centre of it. 3D printing or additive manufacturing is a method to manufacture three dimensional objects using a computer controlled printer. It uses a digital file, for example, a CAD; Computer Aided Design, drawing. The printer builds up individual parts layer upon layer, allowing drying or solidification time between layers, thus the term ‘additive manufacturing.’
