Farmers’ woes

  A record 96,000 tractors and 12 million farmers had gathered near the borders of Delhi in the last week of January to protest enactment of three Agriculture laws by the Central government.

Fragility Index

  India has been ranked 68th among 178 countries in the Fragile State Index (FSI) 2020, according to the annual report prepared by the Fund for Peace, an American non-profit, non-governmental research and educational institution.

   In the various status of the fragility – Very Sustainable, Sustainable, Very Stable, More Stable, Warning, Elevated Warning, High Warning, Alert, High Alert, Very High Alert – India’s status has been described as ‘Elevated Warning’.

   India has been ranked at the 116th position in the latest edition of the World Bank’s annual Human Capital Index that benchmarks key components of human capital across countries. CBSE....
