As per Constitution
Right to education under Article 21A empowers the children to be educated at the school of their choice. As per Article 24, no child under the age of 14 should be employed in any factory.
In this connection, our Parliament enacted Right to Education Act in 2009. As per the Act, a child between 6 and 14 years old has the right to education. There is also a provision for special training of school drop-outs to bring them to the level of normal students.
Ministry of Women and Child Development launched Rajiv Gandhi Scheme for the Empowerment of Adolescent Girls in 2011.
