Fear is one of the earliest and most persistent and powerful of human emotions. From the days of life in the caves, to this day of space travel, man is obsessed with fears. Caves still remain in our minds; we live in the caves of our own creation. Instead of thunder and lightning and darkness, we have developed other phobias: the ‘Nomophobia’ or (‘no mobile phobia’) related to losing the mobile phone or the virus entering it, or of hackers and thieves who steal information!
A google search reveals more than 90 types of phobias – from acrophobia (fear of heights) to zoophobia (fear of animals – there are several phobias even about different species of animals).
